The Ultimate Book Tag

Tags: book

Hello! Today I’ll answer some questions about books. As you probably know (or not) I love reading. I’ve spend a lot of time in my childhood and adulthood reading until 2 a.m. just because I wanted to finish a Book because it was interesting.
Let’s get started with the tag.

1. Do you get sick while reading in the car?
No, I don’t have a problem with that. I only get sick when the driver drives very fast. Unfortunately reading a book can’t help me when I get sick.

2. Which author’s writing style is completely unique to you and why?
Hmm, that’s an interesting question. I can’t say that the authors I’ve read have completely unique style. I always found similarities to other authors.

3. Harry Potter Series or the Twilight Saga? Give 3 points to defend your answer.
Harry Potter – always and forever. This is my favorite book series. Plus I’m not a fan of the Twilight Saga. I’ve watched the movies and they didn’t grab me. But the Harry Potter books are awesome. Although the movies not so much in my opinion.
1 – Magic
2 – The friendship between Harry, Ron and Hermione
3 -  Their adventures

4. Do you carry a book bag? If so, what is it in (besides books…)?
Um, no. but my bags are big, so I can put books in them. Plus, I prefer reading on my tablet – it’s smaller, not so heavy as a book and you can read a few books at a time.

5. Do you smell your books?
Yes, I love the smell of a new book. But I don’t do that on old ones.

6. Books with or without little illustrations?
I’ve never thought on that when thinking about books, for me what matters is the book to have a good plot.

7. What book did you love while reading but discovered later it wasn’t quality writing?
I don’t think I liked a book that I don’t like now.

8. Do you have any funny stories involving books from your childhood? Please share!
I don’t think so.

9. What is the thinnest book on your shelf?
The Zen of Steve Jobs

10. What is the thickest book on your shelf?
Rich Man, Poor Man by Irwin Shaw – but I have read only a few pages, because I didn’t like it. Which remind me to try to read it in the summer.

11. Do you write as well as read? Do you see yourself in the future as being an author?
I write for my blog and for some other sites, but that’s all. Plus, there’s nothing in common between the book I might write and the articles I write.

12. When did you get into reading?
I don’t know exactly when but I loved books my whole life. I remembered in first grade my parents gave me a book as a present and I read it next year. So probably second grade.

13. What is your favorite classic book?
Pride and prejudice. I remembered a friend of mine complaining about it because they had to read it for school. I saw it at home a few days later and I stared reading it and I loved it. I think the mindset plays a huge role when you start reading a book as homework and as your choice. I never liked any of the book I had to read at school.

14. In school was your best subject Language Arts/English?
No, I didn’t like it at all. I didn’t like the books we needed to read after fifth grade. (Before that we have read children’s books and they were okay.) I didn’t like Bulgarian literature at all. And now I still don’t like it and I don’t think I’m going to read anything Bulgarian soon. It’s just not for me. Except for the children’s books – I like them.

15. If you were given a book as a present that you had read before and hated…what would you do?
My friends know what type of books I like to read but if this happens, I’d say thanks and I’d try to read it. Maybe the second time I’ll like it.

16. What is a lesser known series that you know of that is similar to Harry Potter or the Hunger Games?
I don’t like the Hunger Games so I don’t know and I don’t care. As far as Harry Potter – I don’t think I’d like to read something similar soon.

17. What is a bad habit you always do while blogging?
It’s hard for me to start writing. But when I start writing a post I finish it very fast. I can spend weeks without writing and when I start to write a few posts for the next week or so. And then I don’t know how to start until the next inspiringmoment. I’m not that type of person who says “today I’m going to write about this, tomorrow – about this”. That’s not how things work for me.

18. What is your favorite word?
I don’t know. I don’t have any.

19. Are you a nerd, dork, or dweeb? Or all of the above?
Definitely a nerd. I’ve always been and I’ll always will be.

20. Vampires or Fairies? Why?
Fairies. Like I said I don’t like vampires. I love the most the fairy from Cinderella. She reminds me of a lovely grandma who wants to see her granddaughter happy.

21. Shapeshifters or Angels? Why?
Neither.

22. Spirits or Werewolves? Why?
Neither.

23. Zombies or Vampires?
Neither.

24. Love Triangle or Forbidden Love?
Let’s say forbidden love.

25. AND FINALLY: Full on romance books or action-packed with a few love scenes mixed in?
Both, but if I must choose action-packed with a few love scenes mixed in.

So that was it. If you liked this tag, I’ll be happy to read your answers!
