The way race has played an undeniable role in Fashion, it admits to the fact that black designers have been limited, despite their astounding accomplishments. This show is to bring attention to the history that people have forgotten and show some of the new faces that people might not be familiar with. As we advance into the upcoming eras we are seeing a lot of new black designers emerging and taking the fashion world by storm. The designers work shown in this exhibition are a guide for the new generation. Many Fashion Designers are already incorporating these old designs in their new collections. Trends like velvet, stripes, color blocking, waist belts and off shoulder have already been spotted on the runways. These are just a few to name, a lot of other great ideas are ready to be evolved from these black fashion designers.
