From Thursday 18 – Sunday 21 January 2018, from 5.30-10.30pm, head to Carnaby to see the amazing Ganton Street Light Bulbs light up like you have never seen them before – with a spectacular ‘dance’ sequence light show, alongside an array of illuminated street art pieces found throughout the 14 streets.
Shaida Walking, the stunning light art installation in Carnaby by renowned British artist Julian Opie, situated at the top of Broadwick Street by Carnaby Street, is also not to be missed. See the double-sided LED piece playing with light and animation to create a digitalised ‘walking portrait’, celebrating its second anniversary in Carnaby.
Eat, Drink, Play
Out and about over Lumiere London? It’s not just the lights to get excited about. Be sure to swing by the Carnaby Trike on Ganton Street for a free hot chocolate – be quick, there’s 500 on offer each night (one per person)! Loads of your favourite shops, bars and restaurants are joining in the fun too.
While there, you can take a peek at Cubitts whilst visiting the Ganton Street Plug to see an exclusive window display just for Lumiere London, with stacked optical charts and old light up signage. You can pop over to Skinnydip for an exclusive promotion of glittery goods, with extended opening hours on Thursday until 9pm – don’t miss their delicious Lumiere-inspired cupcakes and DJ on the opening night, too.
It is all about looking luminous, too. Head to Too Faced and light up your look with an exclusive luminous makeover created using some of Too Faced’s favourite glittery and glowing products. Step a few doors down to Urban Decay for a new product launch in their all Nighter range, and in-store party on Thursday 18 January complete with complimentary cocktails and mini-Lumiere inspired makeover after the event. Hungry? Dine on a delicious menu exclusive for Lumiere London at Señor Ceviche; for just £20 per person, enjoy a 4 course menu including ‘Para Picar’ and Ceviche small places, Peruvian Barbecue mains and dessert, not to mention a welcome Pisco Sour, too.
