As some of you may have noticed, I have not posted on My Loquacity for the past week. As someone who feels like she should have everything under control all of the time, I have been feeling extremely guilty about this. I love blogging, but as a college student, sometimes life gets in the way. This past week, I had 4 midterms to study for, and I celebrated my 21st Birthday. As much as I hated to do it, I gave myself the week off, but promised myself that I was going to create amazing content from there on out.
I am the kind of person who likes to give 100 percent to everything I do. I have always thought of this as a great quality, but when I’m not able to give 100 percent, I tend to beat myself up about it. Thankfully, this coming week, i am on a break from School, and am in the best place for fall inspiration, New England! I have so many great ideas planned for blog posts for the next few weeks, and can’t wait to hear all of your feedback.
On a lighter note, I did mention that I just turned 21, and so far, 21 has been a lot of fun. My friends surprised me by taking me to an amazing dinner at Print Works Bistro in Greensboro, NC. I was surrounded by 15 of my closest friends, amazing food, and a beautiful atmosphere. I then went out to a local bar by my school with a few of my friends, and ended the night off there. I am so thankful to have such amazing friends, and wouldn’t have wanted my birthday any other way.
Also, because I am home this week, my aunt, mom, cousin, and sister, decided to take me out for my birthday; It was a night full of equally as much fun. We started off the night at a Mexican Restaurant, and ended at an Irish Pub down the street from my house. I had an absolute blast, and discovered that my mom truly is a better dancer than I ever will be. I was definitely not blessed in the coordination or rhythm departments, but I certainly am blessed in the fun family department.
