Experts say you should buy new Running Shoes when you've run 450 to 550 miles in them.
I run 6 kilometers, or 3.7 miles, five days a week.
I should buy new running shoes every 7 months
So that's 25 kms per week and 100 kms per month. Which makes 62 miles per month. That would mean I have to buy new running shoes every 7 months.
I can make my running shoes last about 11 to 12 months
But I can usually make them last about 11 to 12 months. It's only when I start to feel little aches and pain that I wake up and smell the risk of injury.

My new running shoes
And here's picture of my new running shoes. I bought them last Thursday:
I alway buy the shoes the guy at the store tells me to. I've been running injury free for 15 years now, so I believe in their advice.
So the kind of shoes I wear a runner don't say anything about my personal taste. I usually don't like the way my running shoes look at all. But I feel it's more important I can run without problems than looking good : )
