Mindfulness means staying connected to what you are experiencing as you are experiencing it. Being utterly and completely aware in each and every moment. This helps you to experience a sense of fresh perspective, just being connected and not judging. Now lets  see how to Practice mindfulness? everyday

Also helps in lowering the body’s inflammatory response and aids parasympathetic nervous system.

Mindful about emotions

Emotions can disturb us quickly. The Yoga Institute’s pioneered techniques of Anitya Bhavana, Pratipaksh Bhavana helps us to be mindful of our emotions. Also, it helps further by harbouring positive feelings and not holding on to negative thoughts and emotions.

5 Minutes of Mauna or Silence each day

You should practice Mauna or silence each day at the same place, and the same time this helps in a big way. Calms the senses and makes you aware of yourself.

Journal Keeping

Writing down regularly each day happenings helps us to be mindful. When we put our thoughts, feelings and emotions in actual words, we are better able to understand. Also gives us a chance to work on our shortcomings.

Reflection and Introspection

Set aside some time each day to reflect and introspect on each day happenings. You can sit in any meditative posture of your choice. Relax a little focus on your breath. Once you achieve a sense of calmness focus on your days’ event. Go in sequence and just keep going ahead. Don’t stop or go back. Now, as if you are watching movies try to detach. This exercise helps to improve memory as well. Also, leaves room to improve your daily function by making changes where required to make you more efficient.

Pranayama Practices

One of the best things you can do is practice Pranayama daily.  Yogendra pranayamas I to IX- bring in awareness about our breath thereby making us more mindful and living in the moment.  Also reduces stress, anxiety and brings about serenity. Set aside a few minutes early morning each day to practice pranayamas. Beginners can try to regularly practice Yogendra pranayama I, II, III and especially IV.

As you go about your day be mindful of simple details like the warmth of the sun on your skin or the wind in your hair as you leave the house.
