Amyotrophic Lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. The disease is progressive, meaning the symptoms get worse over time. Rehabilitation is a key to maintain current level of function in ALS.
