How To Be A Successful Beachbody Coach In 8 Steps

While I’m not a Beachbody Coach myself, I’ve connected with enough coaches to know what separates the good ones from the great ones. If you want to learn how to become a Successful Beachbody Coach, there are a few key steps that you need to take to set yourself up for getting clients to train. You need to be organized, dedicated, and persistent.

The answer to “how do I become a Successful Beachbody coach?” is HARD WORK. The common thread that all the Beachbody coaches I’ve interacted with is that they all express how hard they work to set the tone for their clients and to push their business forward. Aside from hard work, here are eight tips for how to become a successful Beachbody coach.

Take the First Step

1. Get Certified

Maybe it sounds simple, but the biggest hurdle to becoming successful Beachbody trainer is to become a Beachbody trainer. Once you’re certified, you can begin honing your message and learning the best way to get clients.

2. Don’t Wait Too Long

I know people who think that the only way to be successful is to come up with every aspect of their business and see every angle before they take the first step in their journey. Start with one client if you have to, but the key thing is to get started and you’ll learn a ton as you go.

3. Know Your Product

Becoming a successful Beachbody coach means you need to understand more than just the Beachbody On Demand workouts or the programs. You need to understand the Beachbody product line, which includes the Shakeology and 21 Day Fix products. Understand as much as you can about the business side of Beachbody coaching, so you can answer any questions confidently online or in person.

Put In The Work

Once you’re on your way, you can begin applying some next level tips and tricks as you learn how to become a successful Beachbody coach. Now that you’re certified and understand your product front-and-back, up-and-down, and inside-out, you can focus on tweaking your daily habits and routines to align with the goals and objectives it takes to become a successful coach.

4. Be The Example

You are going to have to put yourself out there, and the best way to be a successful Beachbody coach is by practicing what you preach. Do the workouts, and showcase your progress and your workouts with your followers. You can’t pretend in this line of work. Either it’s something you want to be successful at, or you don’t. There is no faking your way to the top.

5. Build A Brand And Make A Presence

Build a dedicated account and dedicated following by getting out in the world and working hard. If you do, you’ll develop a following. Make sure you capture your journey and showcase your strengths as a coach. Take video, high-quality pictures. Listen to the National Wake Up Call and interact with other coaches and Beachbody users on message boards and blogs.

Self Assessment And Goal Setting

Now you’re certified and you are acclimating yourself to the Beachbody community. Hopefully you have a client or two and are sharing in the success of others, as well as yourself. This is where you can truly make a living doing what you love. The last steps to becoming a successful Beachbody coach involve cultivating your style and improving your technique.

6. Determine Your Strengths And Weaknesses

This calls for some honest self reflection. If you haven’t recruited as well as you could have, ask yourself why that might be. Don’t just make this a time to look at your weaknesses, though. Determine what you’ve done well, and ask yourself how you might expand on your successes to build further success.

7. Schedule Your Time And Treat It Like A Job

Being a successful Beachbody coach isn’t something you can do for just a few minutes each day. You need to schedule time to check up with your clients. You need to schedule time to seek out new clients by going to events, races, shows, etc. The more effort you put in, the more success you’ll get out of your business.

8. Set Goals And Benchmarks

After the first 6-12 months, you should begin setting goals and benchmarks for yourself. How many clients can you get in another 3 months? The best way to do this is by setting 3, 6, and 12 month goals. After a year, assess where you are as a Beachbody coach, and reset your 3, 6 ,and 12 month goals for the following year.

It honestly all comes down to putting in the time and doing the work. All the successful coaches I know didn’t get there by hoping success would fall into their lap. They did the work, live the lifestyle, and are some of the happiest people I know because of it.
