3 weeks vegan.

Tags: vegan cookie

Hey guys,

Firstly sorry for the lack of posts over the past week –> I’ve recently started studying again so that’s been taking up a lot of my time in the evenings! However, I am still trying to post as much on instagram as possible so if you’re not already, follow me on mywellbeingproject –> I will try to be better with this blog, promise.

I’ve now been Vegan for 3 weeks –> I haven’t had any meat or animal products at all.  It’s been tough and there have been times where I’ve wanted to cave but I am extremely proud of myself that I haven’t.

Most of the time it isn’t a problem at all –> I’m finally starting to learn what I can and can’t have and I’ve been making some really yummy meals. Yesterday was probably the first time I struggled –> my boyfriend and I went down to the local food festival and they had some incredible products that I couldn’t try –> meat doesn’t seem to appeal to me anymore but I’m still massively drawn to chocolate, cookies and of course, cheese!!

But I resisted and instead found an incredible stall that sold the most amazing vegan cakes –> I came away with some lemon and almond cookies that are the gooiest cookies I’ve ever eaten. I thoroughly recommend them –> they’re called BakeMeister and you can check them out here –> https://www.bakemeister.com/.

The only issue is I only bought one packet and they may have all gone.

I am starting to see a benefit. I’ve lost weight, my skin looks better and I have more energy –> I actually managed to get up at 5:30am for a gym session!

I’ve got another week before my month but I don’t think I’ll stop after –> I am really enjoying it. I do think I might have a few times where I’ll be a bit more relaxed –> I’m going to Greece at the end of this month and I absolutely adore Baklava. Being vegan, it’s not allowed because it has honey in it –> I might have to break the vegan rule slightly on this one!

I’ll do another post when it’s been a month and let you guys know exactly what I think of being vegan but so far, it’s only positive. Although I do miss cheese –> but if that’s the worse thing about it, I’ll take that anyday!

Has anyone else decided to turn vegan / incorporate more vegan dishes into their diet?
