Being a part of a virtual running club gives you some new ways to connect with other runners and fitness enthusiasts! You can "meet" the others who ran the same race by chatting on social media. At The Virtual Race Calendar, we like to repost finisher & medal pics to encourage you and also allow others to connect. There have been several runners who purchased a medal for a friend so they could run together, either virtually or in real life. What an innovative way to promote fitness among friends!

Lots of virtual races support charities. A portion of the registration fee goes to the specified charity. The Virtual Race Calendar has selected Grind For Life for The Struggle Bus, New Year's Dash & Love To Race virtual races. $5 from each of those 3 races'  registrations goes directly to Grind For Life. They are a charity that gives money to cancer patients. I have seen them help firsthand with my mom when she had stage 4 melanoma in her brain. Grind For Life is an amazing charity to support!

I started running virtual races in 2011 when they were fairly obscure and difficult to find. I encourage you to check out not only our races but assortment on our calendar! See ya on the road! Don't forget to share your race & medal pics!

I was not asked to write this post or to include the mentioned brands. I am a Sockwell compression socks ambassador & I love using my Lumo Run device. They are both items I use every day in my routine. I received no compensation from mentioning these brands. All opinions expressed are from my own experiences.
