The print book vs e-book continues to run and run, but figures for best Selling Kindle Books and titles for other e-readers confirm that electronic reading is here to say. According to a February 17 report by AuthorEarnings.com, there are 487,298,000 sales of ebooks per year in the US, worth $3.177m.
This is followed by the UK (95,623,000, £327m); Canada (26,017,000, CAN$180m); Australia (22,463,000, AU$164m); and New Zealand (1,306,000, NZ$2.3M). and this by no means confirms the long predicted death of traditional printed books. Ebooks occupy only a share of the reading market (determined by some sources as being in the region of 40-50 percent).

Telling you anything more would ruin the impact of this tale by Kathryn Hughes. It’s a fantastic read.
