2019 Dodge Durango: Update for All Trims, Pricing and Release Date

The Dodge Durango will continue to leave a mark in the SUV market celebrating its eight years of iteration. 2019 Dodge Durango is coming with modest updates featuring more customizable options, particularly the Citadel and SRT trims. All Durango 2019 trims have new visual cues, additional interior designs, new colors and wheel design, and broader performance options.

The three-row SUV Durango 2019 will be delivered in five trims: SXT as the base, GT, Citadel, R/T and SRT as the top dog. Fiat did not relegate the existing powertrains, customers expecting extra muscle will get consolation from the massive nip-and-tuck updates. The same 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine producing 295 hp (291 kW) and 260lb-ft (352 N-m) of torque paired with the eight-speed automatic gearbox is serving as the base powertrain for the first three trims: SXT, GT, and Citadel. The R/T models begin with the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 which delivers 360 hp (268 kW) and 360 lb-ft (488 Nm) of torque. Citadel trim also has an option for this powertrain. At the top of the reef is the SRT which doesn't get a power bump option priding the maximum energy on the platform. The 2019 Durango SRT Model comes with the 392 Hemi V8 which delivers 475 hp (354 kW) and 470 lb-ft (637 Nm) of torque. The new Dodge Durango SRT is the only trim coming with all-wheel drive as standard; it's optional in other models.

All new Dodge Durango trims received the 2019 updates

The SRT models feature standard five-passenger seating and now offer leather seats. GT models will inherit the LED fog lamps and front fascia found on SRT and R/T. The performance hood which is quite similar to SRT will have a central air inlet and option for two heat extractors.

Durango Citadel trims will get standard captain's chairs on the second row and R/T will now offer sepia leather seats. Customers now have the option to order Durango SRT with red seatbelts and two-piece rotor Brembo brake calipers. Brass monkey or satin carbon-finished 20-inch wheels are also available.

For those obsessed with quality sound, there's an option to fit in an 825-watt, 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system in the Durango R/T, Citadel, and SRT. Maximizing your safety, all models now have blind-spot monitoring with rear cross path detection.

2019 Dodge Durango release date

The Durango 2019 will be available in three new colors: Destroyer gray, Reactor blue, and F8 green. All models will feature the trailer tow package which now includes trailer brake controller. Durango release date will be this fall. Durango 2019 pricing will be starting at $31,390 for SRT models.
