You all know we are working on a new house. But I think people don't really realize how much work this is. And the fact that hubby and I are doing it ourselves. With the help from some amazing family and friends of ours. But for the most part, we are doing it ourselves. The only thing we have had professionally done is the refinishing of our floors.
Around the beginning of December I created a to-do list. At that time I crossed off the stuff we had already done. You can see the original below the pictures. However, directly below is an updated version. I am finally getting around to crossing off what we have done up to this point.
So THIS is what I have been so busy on. And the worst part, is that this list does not really do all the work justice. There is so much more to it than I could ever get down on paper. The things that come up. Much of the prep work, etc. Like, before painting ANY of the rooms, there is mudding and sanding, then wiping down the walls, then priming THEN painting. I didn't put ALL of those steps in my to-do list. I think you get the jist! We are really in the final stretch now. Each day it looks and feels more like a home. EEEE! Exciting.
