Am I right for Direct Sales?

It seems like in the Direct Sales industry, we are trained (or pushed) by our uplines to enroll or sign-up ANYONE who seems a bit interested in the business.

There really IS a reason behind this.  Because Direct Sales has helped so many women come out of their shell and do something that they never thought they could do.  And what an amazing feeling THAT is.   To be the person who helps someone gain confidence, become successful, and realize they are way more than what they thought they were.   But the truth is, Not everyone is right for Direct Sales.

It is true that anyone can do this job.  No matter your past experience, your education level, your location, your size, your race, your background, or no matter how many or how little people you know.  But it's not right for everyone.

Here is who it IS right for:

Someone who is MOTIVATED.
Someone who is trainable.
Someone who wants to better themselves through personal development (by learning, stepping out of their comfort zone, creating new relationships, etc.)
Someone who can pick up when the going gets tough and keep at it.
Someone who is not afraid to work, and work hard until they reach success.

Being in direct sales isn't difficult work.  But it IS work.

We have all dealt with the consultant who just really isn't that serious about the business.  To be honest, she gives us all a bad name.  Sorry, but it's true.

Today, I challenge you.  I challenge all of you who are out there building your team in Direct Sales, to be picky about who you bring on your team.  Interview THEM, and see if they are a good fit for you, the rest of your team, and the business in general.  If they are not.  PASS.

I bet when you step up and bring only motivated, trainable, hard-working people on your team, you will see a big difference in the growth of your business.  You will see your team-mates attitude and productivity sky-rocket.  When you pass on your first prospect, you will feel like a Million Dollars.  (p.s. this isn't about being mean to someone, or putting yourself up on a pedestal.  This is about being real and honest, and making the choice to do what is right for you, your business, and your priorities)

Try it.  Let me know how it feels.
