World Water Day – Let’s Conserve Water For The Survival Of Human Race

Every day we are hearing and reading about the slogans and ads on TVs and radios like “Save Water, Save Earth”. However, a question arises, how many of us are implementing in our day to day lives. Though the Earth is covered with 71% of water, there are people on Earth itself who are lacking and facing the shortage of water.

Same like food and air, water is also the essential element without which Human cannot survive. If you Google “Top five benefits of water”, you may come across millions of it but here are some of the essential advantages of Water:

  • Increases energy and relieves fatigue
  • Improves skin complexion
  • Boosts Immune System
  • Prevents body from dehydration
  • Also helpful in treating kidney stones

Apart from all these benefits, water is beneficial in probably 100s of ways.

Recently, on 20th March 2018, the Last Male Northern White Rhino died. Sudan was the last Male Northern White Rhino who died at the age of 45. Sudan was living at the Conservatory called Ol Pejeta, Kenya. Jan Stejskal, an official at Dvur Kralove Zoo stated that “His death is a cruel symbol of human disregard for nature and it saddened everyone who knew him.”

Same like Sudan let’s not hope that we the Human, one of the most fantastic creatures God has ever made might not face the shortage of water. The below image truly conveys this message in a very meaningful way.

Every species alive on the Earth needs water. Without it, one cannot grow plants and trees.The Aquatic Animals like Fishes, Dolphins cannot survive without water. It is not essential that in which form water is available, water is the most potent force human can ever use. It is 100% correct that it is the fundamental right of every human being to save water for ourselves, and for our Forthcoming generation as well. Let us not hope that our upcoming generation does not face the scarcity of water.

Speaking about the water conservation let us see some of the methods using which you can save water:

  • Rain water harvesting
  • Turn off the taps when not needed
  • Fix the Leaky taps and showers
  • Avoid Unnecessary Flushing Toilets
  • Encourage the installation of xeriscaping or natural landscaping
  • Raw water flushing
  • Waterless urinals
  • Seawater desalination
  • Drip irrigation
  • Overhead irrigation

It is never too late to start anything new in life. On this World Water Day, let’s take a pledge that every human being on this planet will save water so that will be beneficial to our future generation. Don’t wait for anybody to initiate, voluntarily start saving every single drop of water.

Let’s spread the awareness to conserve water, with the motto of “Save Water, Save Lives, Save Earth”.
