How to Come Up With Top Topics For YouTube Videos

I had a big hang up, in the beginning, trying to figure out what to talk about in my content. Here is the best advice I got about coming up with videos, teach the day one version of yourself.

You see, you are not out here to recruit the gurus, not yet anyway. You have to remember, there are people that come online each and every day, looking for information about making money online, building a business online all types of things.

So with that being said, if you’ve been online learning stuff for any given amount of time, you know more than the person who is just coming online.

The best type of topics is the ones people are searching for online and when people do that search on Youtube and even google you want your content to show up. So now you might be thinking, how do you find out what people are searching for?

How To Find What People Are Searching For

Keyword research, there are tools out there that will tell you exactly what people are searching for on the internet. Some of them are paid and some are free.

The Google keyword planner used to be my go-to tool but Google has made some changes that now require you to have paid ads running to access their tool.

A free tool that I use and highly recommend is a browser extension called keywords everywhere. You can install it on Chrome and Firefox.

How To Structure Your Videos

I like to use a 4 part strategy when it comes to making my videos. It works if you are just starting out and have never done a video or you’ve been doing videos for a while and you have not gotten the results you wanted so far.

It’s the same format that just about everyone uses online today.

There is an Intro, question, content, and your call to action. Here is how it looks all put together:

Intro – You always want to introduce yourself. You can say something like, “Hey, this is Dereco Cherry coming from my home office here in Kernersville North Carolina.”

Question – After you introduction you want to ask a question. This where you get your audience’s attention. “Do you want how to come up with some creative youtube video ideas? In this video, I’m going to show you exactly how you can do it.”

Content – This is where you answer the question you just asked. Make it good here, put a lot of content and try and over deliver. Give them all types of suggestions and things you’ve learned.

CTA – This is your call to action. At the end of your video, you want to tell them exactly what to do. Maybe you want them to become a lead, check out a link for further information or at the very least you want to tell them to email you for more information.
