Lewis and Clark Try It Tiny Too

The Lewis and Clark Expedition from May 1804 to September 1806, also known as the Corps of Discovery Expedition, was the first American expedition to cross what is now the western portion of the United States. It began near St. Louis, made its way westward, and passed through the continental divide to reach the Pacific coast. The Continental Divide Trail traverses north and south through the pass. At the time of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, the pass was a much-used pathway where the native people living in what today is Montana crossed over the continental divide. And as legend would have it (okay, so it is not legend…it is completely made-up) that is where the duo stopped overnight in what is now known as the Lewis & Clark Tiny House.

Hosted on Try It Tiny by Toni C, the Lewis & Clark is a spacious 245 sq.ft., custom built, tiny house on wheels. Situated on a private, rural property along the banks of Skalkaho Creek in Hamilton, Montana, this chemical-free tiny house is truly an expedition into what is possible in tiny homes today. Perhaps had Meriwether and William stayed in this amazing tiny house, they would have been able to pen their journals in blog format using the included wireless Internet. They would have also enjoyed hot meals in the full sized kitchen that includes no less than a full-size refrigerator, convection oven, microwave, 2-burner countertop stove, coffee maker, cookware, pantry essentials, and more!

As night fell the duo would have been able to rest their feet and grab some sleep on the full-size Murphy bed that is turned down for each guest with fresh linens. And what a warm and cozy slumber it would have been with the mini gas heater in the tiny house and the open lot allowing for some natural sunlight warmth.

The bathroom in the Lewis & Clark tiny house features a shower and tub as well as a composting toilet.

Perhaps though – like many of today’s guests – the pair would have enjoyed the outdoor leisure provided by fishing on the Skalkaho Creek followed by a fish fry on the available fire ring!

The Lewis & Clark tiny house is truly an adventure waiting to happen and lives up to the excitement of its namesake. Find out more about this spectacular tiny house by visiting the Try It Tiny listing. Available for $85/night or $1785/month, this is one you’ll want to cross the continental divide for!
