If You Were Me and Lived in Cuba: Book Review
Book Summary
If You Were Me and Lived in Cuba, is a book that takes children on a journey to Cuba. The life and culture is so different. The first interesting thing that I feel many kids would find interesting is how much attention they put on sports and outdoor play. Children age 45 days are already exercising. In addition, this book is filled with many interesting geographical facts. The children can learn about islands, rivers, and archipelagos. So many amazing facts the children will love learning about life far away.
Geography Science and Crafts
After reading If You Were Me and Lived in Cuba you will need art trays and play-doh. If you have these, you are ready to begin. Take 2 art trays. In one of the trays, have your little one make an island out of the play-doh. In the second tray, have them make an archipelago. For a more dramatic effect, you can add water to the trays. Have your kids observe the differences and tell you what they see.
My Overall Opinion
If You Were Me and Lived in Cuba is a great book. Cube has such an amazing culture. I think it is one your kids will find to be very active and different from the way we live in America. Plus the food they eat is different and looks yummy. If You Were Me and Lived in Cuba is a great way to learn about places far away from home.
