SSC GD Constable Eligibility Criteria 2017
SSC Constable Eligibility criteria include many different Categories like qualification, age limit, age relaxation, and most important the physical ability/standards for the post of SSC GD Constable that should be considered for appearing in the exam.
In case, you don’t fulfill all the conditions of SSC GD Eligibility Criteria then you will be disqualified for all posts of constable by the commission.

Things to be noted under GD Constable Eligibility -
Candidates belonging to the physically handicapped category are not eligible to apply for this examination.
The personnel of Central Para Military Forces is not eligible to apply under Ex-Servicemen category.
SSC GD Eligibility Criteria [Nationality/ Citizenship]
Candidates who are willing to apply for the post of SSC GD Exam 2017 must be either-
A citizen of India or
A subject of Nepal or
A subject of Bhutan or
Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 to be settled permanently in India.
A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
SSC GD Physical Eligibility Criteria 2017
SSC GD Physical Standard Test is very important for those candidates who want to apply for SSC GD Exam. It will be conducted by Delhi Police.
If you fail the physical test then you will be disqualified under SSC GD constable physical eligibility and can’t appear for the GD constable written the examination.
Commission had set some physical standard for those candidates who want to apply for the exam. All the details about SSC GD Constable physical standards have been given in the table below.

Things to be noted under Physical Eligibility set by SSC -
If you qualify in the race event then only you will be eligible to appear in the long jump and high jump events.
The Staff Selection Commission will give you only three chances to qualify in long Jump and high jump events.
Candidates couldn’t appeal against disqualification in race, long jump & high jump, however, the candidate may appeal against height and chest measurement on the same day of PE & MT before the Appellate Board.
There shall be no chest measurement for Female candidates under SSC GD Physical Test. The candidature of female candidates who are pregnant at the time of PE & MT will be rejected as they cannot undergo the test. No appeal/ representation will be entertained against such rejection.
If you use drugs then you will disqualify from SSC GD Physical Endurance and Measurement test.

SSC GD Educational Qualification 2017
Educational qualification is compulsory norm set under SSC GD eligibility standards for appearing in the SSC GD 2017. Education qualification for SSC GD Constable for all posts are given below:
If you have 12th passed certificate from any recognized Board/ University then you are eligible for SSC GD Exam 2017.
If a candidate has not acquired the educational qualification at the time of filling of application form then, the Delhi Police will cancel the candidature of such candidate.

SSC GD Age Limit Criteria 2017
SSC has been set the age criteria for all candidates, who want to apply for Constable GD Exam. You will have to fulfill the age criteria set for GD Constable eligibility to appear in this exam. All the information about SSC GD Age Limit are given below:
Age limit for the post of Constable (Exe) male is 18-21 years and for the female is 18-25 years.
Candidates should note that only the Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate will be accepted by the Commission for determining the age eligibility.

SSC Constable GD Medical Eligibility Criteria 2017
SSC conducts SSC GD Medical Exam for those candidates who have cleared the written exam.
The minimum distant vision should be 6/12 of two eyes (without glasses).
You should be free from colour blindness.
If you have undergone Lasik surgery for improvement of vision (Eye Sight) will be eligible, if their vision (Eye Sight) is found normal after the conduct of the following Tests at the Govt. Hospital: –
Contrast sensitivity.
Dim light vision (Mesopic vision)
Glare acuity
