Isaac Newton:

Has a ball ever fell on your head and you wondered why? Obviously, you know it is gravity, but in the 17th century, the law of gravity was not discovered yet as no one ever gave it a thought. But Isaac Newton did. While on vacations sitting outside on the grass at his aunt’s home an apple fell not so far from this gentleman’s range. This was where science as we know it was completely changed. Newton noticed this event and began working his nights in understanding the law of nature and in return gave us three laws of newton which are crucial in understanding physics.

You might be wondering what was the lesson in Newton’s success here. Well, sharp minds don’t let anything go for a chance. That event changed newton’s perception towards the forces beneath our earth. Everything that is happening around us has a reason or more specifically a scientific reason. Events just don’t happen on their own. We have to train our minds to be attentive enough to think and study the behavior of our surroundings and uncover the secrets hidden inside them. Galileo Galilei

Born in the 16th century to a musician, Galileo Galilei was a well-known scientist. He has a long list of achievements in science that are impossible to cover here. One of the most popular discoveries Galileo did was proving that bodies of different masses will fall with the same acceleration; thus the fall speed of an object is irrelative to its mass.

Galilei demolished the popular belief of that time that the earth is the center of the solar system and gave the proof that in fact, it was the sun that is in the middle. Due to this discovery Galilei spend the final days of his life in house arrest because he challenged the powerful religious scholars of that time. His book was banned by the church and Galileo became disreputable. But In 1744 Galileo’s book “Dialogue” was removed from the Church’s list of banned books, and in the 20th century Popes Pius XII and John Paul II made official statements of regret for how the Church had treated Galileo.

Galileo’ name is now remembered respectfully around the world today. His success came with a price. But Galileo stood firm by his discoveries as he knew that one day he would be highly regarded by the upcoming generations who would praise him for his discoveries.

Henry Ford

Henry Ford’s name is not synonymous in the field of science. He was an industrialist. But his inventions earned him the respect he deserved. Henry Ford believed in a fair wage system, to keep his employees happy and motivated. He is most famous for inventing the ford model T, the most affordable car at that time and inventing the assembly manufacturing system which is followed around the world nowadays. Henry believed in hiring skilled workers, keeping them motivated and making them share the same and connected workspace, making the work done with perfection and less time required than in conventional methods.

It is because of this manufacturing system that we have affordable cars around the world. Before that car was considered a luxury and out of the reach of an average person. Henry Ford’s success teaches us that following and creating new and easier ways of achieving a task can bear good fruit in times to come. Teamwork is better than the work by an individual as it balances the load on different shoulders instead making one-person paranoid.

Elon Musk

It won’t be wrong if we call Elon Musk the real-life Tony Stark (Iron Man). This genius was a self-taught programmer and sold his first game at the age of 12. He became a millionaire at the age of 28 when he sold Zip, a web Software Company to Compaq for $307 million for which Elon received $22 million dollars.

Under his leadership, his company X.com created PayPal. Elon Musk is also the founder of Tesla, Space X, Hyperloop, Open AI and Solar City. His achievements are undeniably phenomenal.

People become greedy when they achieve so much in little time. But for Elon, the more he earns, the more he wants to spend on innovation that will serve the needs of humanity without harming our environment.

Elon’s life and success teach us that with so much power and wealth one has to be responsible enough to handle and utilize it. If we follow our greed and don’t take care of our surroundings we will be left with nothing in the end as we need air to breath, not money.
