Level 1.

ECBA™ (Entry Certificate in Business Analysis)

ECBA® (Entry Certificate in Business Analysis) from IIBA®, is the certification for individuals entering the field of business analysis, an entry-level certification demonstrates the foundational level BA skills.

Prerequisites:

There are no experience requirements involved to obtain the ECBA® Certification, but 21 hours of Business Analysis education is mandatory to attain the certification examination.

Level 2.

CCBA® (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis)

The Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA®) is the level two professional certification from IIBA®, aims at qualified BA practitioners, recognizes practitioners demonstrated skills and knowledge to perform Business Analyst role.

Prerequisites:

To obtain the CCBA® Certification, one requires,

  • Minimum 3750 hours of BA experience aligned with the BABOK® Guide in last seven years, including 900 hours in two of the six knowledge areas or 500 hours in four of the six knowledge areas.

  • 21 hours of business analysis professional development education.

  • Two references from a career manager, client or CBAP® recipient.

  • Signed Code of Conduct.

Level 3.

CBAP® (Certified Business Analysis Professional)

CBAP® credential recognizes BA professionals who have been performed the role and already made an investment of 5 years of career in the business analysis field.

Prerequisite:

The certification requirements include,

  • Minimum 7500 hours (5 years) of experience as a Business Analyst. (Within Ten consecutive years)

  • 900 hours of which in any of the four knowledge areas as mentioned in the BABOK® Guide.

  • 35 Contact hours of Business Analysis education in the four consecutive years.

Level 4.

CBATL™ (Certified Business Analysis Thought Leader)

The CBATL® Certification is for the practitioners of business analysis working in the field of business analysis from 10 or more years.
