History of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Statue

On December 15, 2013, on the anniversary of Patel’s death, Modi sent 1,000 trucks to seven lakh villages, carrying approximately three empty boxes of lakh kits, to collect agricultural implements and land for scrap.

In 2016, 135 tons of iron had been collected in various forms, but mainly scrap. After long deliberations about the unusable state of this scrap, approximately 109 tons were used to make the statue’s foundation after its treatment.

Officials are ashamed of most of the details of the project, and an L & T engineer only regrets that the statue has about 1,850 metric tons or 18.5 kilograms of bronze coating. The amount of steel and concrete used would be several times greater.

The statue is located in isolated mountainous terrain, which raises another problem of delivery of materials.

While most of the stones removed during the Sadhu Bet Hill classification were used to support the podium, access to the statue, which is essentially an island, was provided by two methods. Eight months a year, you can access the island from at least one side of the road, as water levels drop after the monsoon.

A rock bridge was built to provide access above this low water level, while a Bailey bridge was built for high water levels during the rains. The base of the statue is also above the flood level of the nearby Narmada Dam.

Tourist Facilities at Sardar Vallabhai Patel Statue

The statue is divided into five zones. The first area consists of three levels: floor, mezzanine and ceiling. It will contain a memorial garden and a large museum.

The government of Gujarat has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Culture of the Union to ensure that Patel’s original letters are placed in the museum.

“The museum will include the chronology of Patel’s life, from his birth in Karamsad to his rise as the Iron Man of India, to his personal life and attachment to Gujarat, and he carried out extensive flood relief work in the state. in 1927 and also rebuilt the Somnath temple, said by officials.

Zone 2 extends up to 149 meters from the thighs of the statue, while Zone 3 extends to the observation gallery at 157 meters. Zones 4 and 5 would be out of reach of visitors, zone 4, including the maintenance zone and zone 5 with the head towards the shoulders.

The observation gallery will be accessible by two elevators located in the heart of the statue, with a capacity of 40 people each.

The initial plan was to allow visitors to climb to the top of the structure and have a viewing gallery through the eyes, but this was not so impractical.

According to one official, “wind conditions do not favor an observation gallery at this height, the safe is the maximum that visitors can safely be allowed in.

The gallery, which can accommodate up to 200 people at a time, offers views from the Satpura and Vindhyachal mountain ranges, which also form the point where Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra meet, visitors can also enjoy distant views of the 212-kilometer Sardar Sarovar Reservoir and 12-kilometer Garudeshwar Reservoir.

The presence of water always around the statue, located downstream from the dam of Narmada.

In the lobby at the entrance to the statue, a museum and an audiovisual will present 15-minute presentations on the life of Patel and the tribal culture of Gujarat, to entertain the tourists waiting for their turn.

According to one official, “the concept is very similar to that of Burj Khalifa, presenting the visitors with audiovisual presentations on the construction of Burj Khalifa, and we have the advantage that the statue is not just a building, but a tribute to a great personality.”

Sardar Vallabhai Patel Statue Project and Its Cost

The cost of the statue is 29.9 billion rupees and it is located in Sadhu Bet, settlement of Kevadiya, in the district of Narmada, 200 kilometers from the city of Ahmedabad.

The statue will be surrounded by a lake of 12 square kilometers and will occupy more than 20,000 square meters. It will be twice as tall as the Statue of Liberty and it is a statue covered with bronze.

PM Modi Hits Left & Right on Congress for remark on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Statue

Prime Minister Narendra Modi refuted on Saturday the statement of Congress President Rahul Gandhi that the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the prime minister of the interior of the country, had been built with the help of China.

The unit statue, the tallest in the world (522 feet), will be installed on an island in Narmada in Gujarat, near the Sardar Sarovar dam. Modi is expected to open it next month.

At an election in Madhya Pradesh Satna on Thursday, Gandhi said the statue was “made in China.”

Speaking to the workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of Bilaspur, Basti, Chittorgarh, Dhanbad and Mandsaur through Namo App, Modi accused Congress of engaging in low-level politics and claiming the legacy of Sardar Patel. Never having respected was in the power.

“Recently I heard of the congressional statements that the statue of Sardar Patel, which will be the largest in the world, is made in China, they (the Congress) bowed so low that they have now begun to attack Sarda Patel. Can you compare it with shoes and shirts made in China? “Modi asked.

He called on party workers to focus on positive news and share them on social media platforms for wider dissemination. Recommended the use of regional languages to spread messages.

“After the demonetization, the Congress says that their money is not safe in the banks, they are now spreading lies about Ayushman Bharat,” he said.

Responding to Modi’s comments, Congress again raised the issue of Chinese workers on Saturday. The party’s main spokesman, Randeep Singh Surjewala, asked the prime minister about the need to hire Chinese workers for the construction of the statue, despite the slogan “Make in India”.

“Modiji, Congress does not believe in hatred, we even like our opponents, yes, we hate lies, betrayal and fraud,” he tweeted.
