Hope you all are doing well. Today I would like to share one of my experience that made me think about the value of arts even it is so simple. We all ignore things saying it is so Silly or simple. But we forget to realize that even it is so silly for us but most valuable for that artist who made it.

                                                       Few months before I happen to visit an old age home. There were a lot of people who were mentally and physically ill. As I was talking to each of them I happen to met a person named 'Thomas'. He was about 86 years old. He was illiterate. Also, he was in the 1st stage of Alzheimer's.  It was the reason because of he was there. He was really happy by seeing me. He started to show me 3 big books full of his drawings. All the pictures were Drawn by using crayons. He started to explain me about each small pictures he has drawn. The most interesting thing was that most of his pictures were related to animals. He has drawn different types of fishes, seahorses and different animals which exist and not exist. He doesn't even know the name of some animals he has drawn, because he has seen it in pictures and TV but doesn't know its name. I spent about 1 hr with him seeing his pictures.

                                                        I don't know what I was feeling that time. I felt my mind was melting by seeing each picture. He is not a big artist. There are no Fans for him. There is no profit for him by doing it. But still, he does it. Because he loves it. 'Love is unconditional, right?'. This was one of my inspiring story that made me share my arts on such a blog.  If you have a dream, If you have a hobby don't hesitate to do it by thinking it is silly. Because everything in this world has a value. never forget that...

പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട കൂട്ടുകാരാ,

                                                               നിങ്ങക്കല്ലാവക്കും  സുഖമാണെന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു. കലയുടെ മൂല്യത്തെ കുറിച്ചു ചിന്തിക്കാൻ എന്നെ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ച എന്റെ അനുഭവങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നു പങ്കുവയ്ക്കാൻ ഞാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു. അത് വളരെ ലളിതമാണ്. നമ്മൾ എല്ലാവരും അസ്വാസ്ഥ്യകരമോ ലളിതമോ ആയതിനെ  അവഗണിക്കുന്നു. നമുക്ക് അത്  വളരെ നിസാരമാണെകിലും , അത് ആ കലാകാരൻ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചുതീർത്തതിൽ ഏറ്റവും വിലപ്പെട്ടതാണെന്ന് തിരിച്ചറിയാൻ നാം മറക്കുന്നു.
                                                                   ഞാൻ ഒരു വൃദ്ധസദനം സന്ദർശിക്കാൻ കുറച്ച് മാസം മുമ്പ് പോയിരുന്നു. മാനസികമായും ശാരീരികമായും ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുന്ന  ധാരാളം ആളുകൾ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഞാൻ ഓരോരുത്തരോടും സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ തോമസ് എന്ന വ്യക്തിയെ ഞാൻ കണ്ടുമുട്ടി. അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു 86 വയസ്സായിരുന്നു. അയാൾ  നിരക്ഷരനായിരുന്നു. അയാൾ  അൽസിമേഴ്സിന്റെ ഒന്നാം ഘട്ടത്തിൽ ആയിരുന്നു. ആ  കാരണം കൊണ്ടാണ്  അവിടെ താമസിക്കാനും കാരണം. എന്നെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ  അയാൾ  ഒത്തിരി സന്തോഷിച്ചു . അദ്ദേഹം മൂന്നു വലിയ പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ തന്റെ ചിത്രങ്ങളാൽ നിറഞ്ഞതു  കാണിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. എല്ലാ ചിത്രങ്ങളും ചായ പെൻസിൽ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് വരച്ചതായിരുന്നു . അയാൾ  വരച്ച ഓരോ ചെറിയ ചിത്രങ്ങളെയും കുറിച്ച് അദ്ദേഹം വിശദീകരിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. ഏറ്റവും രസകരമായ കാര്യം, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഭൂരിഭാഗവും മൃഗങ്ങളുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടതാണ്. വിവിധ തരം മത്സ്യങ്ങൾ, കടൽ കുതിരകൾ, ജീവികൾ ,നിലനിന്നിരുന്ന പല മൃഗങ്ങളെയും വരച്ചുകാട്ടുന്നു. അവൻ ചിത്രങ്ങളിലും ടി.വിയിലും കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്, പക്ഷേ അതിന്റെ പേര് അറിയാത്തതിനാൽ അയ്യാൾ  വരച്ചിട്ടുള ചില മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ പേരുകൾ പോലും അവൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല. ഞാൻ അയാളുടെ  ചിത്രങ്ങൾ കണ്ടു 1 മണിക്കൂർ കൂടെ ഞാൻ അവിടെ ചെലവഴിച്ചു.
