Exchange programmes at school is a method for students to meet new people, other traditions, foods and improve their English skills. This Programme has a good and a bad side. The good side is that the students will learn new things about other countries but the bad side of such a programme is that the students can’t see their parents for a long time.

For a start, the students who take part in the programmes should be able to speak English fluently, have a friendly behaviour, be ready to try new things and be independent and adventurous. these are the qualities that a student needs to take part in this programme. But he or she must overcome some challenges like eating unfamiliar food, getting to know the host family, communicating in English and finding his way around. If you can overcome these challenges, you can take part in this programme if you want.

Secondly, the other type of students that can’t live away from their family for a long time and are shy, may face a challenge because they must leave their family and live with a family that they have never met before. Also, another obstacle that they may face with, is that they must make new friends because they change school for some months. Another problem which all the students have to deal with is the new programmes and the new life-style. They may be influenced by the weather and the life of the people in the other country.

In conclusion the exchange programmes at school are a good method to meet new people, discover new cultures and civilizations. I believe that you are gonna like this programme, and if you are a easy-going person, it will be easy to go somewhere and stay for a long time.
