Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar University (DBRAU) was settled up on 1 July 1927 as Agra University at Paliwal Park, Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. The university is the counted as one of the oldest university of Uttar Pradesh state. Later in the year 1966, the university name was changed in to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University. It offers many under graduate, post graduate and Ph. D programs such as LLB, B.Ed, MCA, BCA, B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BA and so on.

Presently, the university had more than 200 affiliated colleges and 15 residential Institutes spread out in its four residential campus viz.
