Do Not Split Yourself Too Much

There is power in Focus and focus requires few things, less things.

We should exercise the power of saying yes in Clear state of mind. Then keep the few things that we have decided to work on until they are finished clear in our minds or at least very close to us in paper so we may revisit them at any time.

We should work diligently to accomplish the few things. When we have accomplished the most important tasks of the day we can start saying yes to other less Urgent things.

Prioritizing should be about focused effort towards the most important tasks, not constant interruptions to weigh if something else more urgent came up. There are emergencies which are exceptions to this rule.

Through your day you can be doing a few things, but only a one thing at a time. In professional context splitting your attention too much through different tasks is heavy on y our cognition. A little bit of variance is even good for the brain and gives the sense of variety which is good. Know where is the limit between what is good for you and what is not.
