Since most species require specific food, that can only be found in their relative environments, it is almost nearly impossible to simulate the same foods in aquariums.

Most corals thus do not have specific feeding regimes, but instead receive the proper amount of nutrition from their tanks, with nutrient-dense food contained within their water.

These foods are generally very colorful, gets provided to them from a light source through photosynthesis and depending on their size, might require prey that are larger than macroscopic food sources.
