The biggest event in the gin calendar, World Gin Day, returns on the 9th June, and Corn Exchange Manchester has revealed its top ways to enjoy a delicious G&T for the occasion.
As well as being a popular dining destination, the venue has a variety of outdoor and indoor drinking areas, bars and delicious gin menus where you really can celebrate World Gin Day in style.
Alston Bar & Beef
Alston prides itself on its impressive gin selection, with over 60 gins available on the bar and fourteen of its very own cold compound gin infusions produced on site. In the week leading up to World Gin Day, bartenders will be revealing a different gin from around the world as a special each day. The restaurant also offers a gin experience for £19.95 where groups can become a gin expert during a 90 minute class – an absolute must for gin lovers.
Mowgli
Mowgli is known for its original food menu and has put a twist on the classic gin and tonic for its drinks menu. The Mowgli G&T includes fresh ginger, fresh coriander, lime, sugar and Fever Tree Tonic. Or alternatively opt for the Rose & Raspberry G&T which has a beautiful pink colour and tastes super refreshing.
Banyan Bar & Kitchen
With an extensive menu to please any G&T lover, last year Banyan introduced a striking new gin that changes colour once tonic is added. The Empress 1908 Gin is infused with vibrantly tinted butterfly pea blossom giving it a deep shade of indigo. What’s more, this innovative beverage sensationally changes to the colour pink with the addition of citrus or tonic, bringing an extra special touch to your G&T.
Cosy Club
If you and your friends are looking for the ultimate sharing cocktail to celebrate World Gin Day, Cosy Club’s cocktail menu features a pitcher of a delicious Strawberries and Cream concoction. Mixing Williams GB gin with strawberries, the cocktail is then shaken with vanilla and lengthened with soda. Perfect for warming up for Wimbledon.
Wahaca
If you’re looking for a different serve for your gin, try Wahaca’s delicious cocktail menu. The Earl of Mexico includes gin, Earl Grey lemonade and a hint of aniseed for a refreshing gin drink with a twist.
Cabana
Gin lovers will be pleased to hear that Cabana’s happy hour includes two for one on its Carlos the Godfather cocktail. A refreshing balanced gin is paired with elderflower, lemon and lime in the vibrant surroundings of Cabana’s Brazilian themed bar. Simple but delicious.
