To celebrate the launch of their new Summer Beer Menu, Cottonopolis are going all tropical and throwing a weekend full of beer tasting, live music, record spinning, body painting and all day brunching on June 9th until June 11th.
Kicking off the weekender on Friday 9th June is the North vs South Juicy Beer Takeover hosted by Cloud Water Brewing, Gipsy Hill, North Brewing and Verdant. Pop up taps will be installed around the venue for you to sample, taste and swill with the brewers on hand to instil their knowledge and expertise. There will also be a huge competition on the night for you to win a hamper full of beer and merchandise. Complementing these summer brewing selections is live music from tropical trio Captain Stingray’s Groove Machine – a heavy fusion of funk, afrobeat, reggae and latin, live from 6 til 8. Lowell Walbank, One Tree Island and Jonjo Williams will be spinning the vinyl until the early hours.
Saturday 10th June, Cottonopolis present the Tropadelica all-dayer. Bottomless Brunch will be served from 10am – 2pm and The Gypsy Shrine will also be setting up a their glitter station to get you in the festival mood whether your sticking around for our Tropical all-dayer or heading to Parklife Festival.
DJs Mikey Don, Agent J (Groovement), Apocalypso and Miss Puerto Rico will be delving deep into their bag full of tropical house beats from midday til 2am.
Join Cottonopolis for an All Day Bottomless Beer Brunch on Sunday 11th June. For one day only you can opt for a flight of tropical beers to accompany your Brunch alongside Bottomless Prosecco, Bellini’s and Bloody Mary’s. The Gypsy Shrine will be back to turn you into walking pieces of art and get you festival ready as 5 piece band Sol Colectivo perform tropical infused sunshine soul reggae and latin from 1pm – 4pm. DJs Simon Ham (WAX), Nic Zube and DJ Ash from Guadeloupe will be taking you through to midnight with more tropical, Latin selections.
