THE MAKEUP SHOW ORLANDO WELCOMED 4,000 PROS ON MARCH 18 & 19 FOR A WEEKEND OF INSPIRATION & EDUCATION

Tags: makeup beauty
Over 75 beauty brands and top celebrity makeup artists -- from Jordan Liberty to Roshar -- came together to set industry trends, discuss hot beauty topics, and learn from the best in the industry.

The Sunshine State set a successful stage this year for the The Makeup Show Orlando. On March 18th and 19th, The Hyatt Regency Orlando once again played house to the largest pro-driven beauty event in the world. In its 5th year, The Makeup Show Orlando welcomed 4,000 pros for the most inspiring weekend of beauty, inspiration and education. These pro artists joined together to not only shop exclusive discounts from more than 75 beauty brands, but to receive an overwhelming amount of inspiration from nearly 60 keynote speakers and seminars!

“The Makeup Show is not only a trade show or just a place to shop and take classes, it is a place to get inspired, get focused, to be among other industry peers, and share your knowledge and experience and love of makeup. The Makeup Show has given artists opportunity and has changed so many people's lives, and that makes me very proud. Having 4,000 attendees come through the door in one weekend is a true testament to why we bring this show to five markets each year. We are looking forward to continuing this trend in 2017 with our next stop in NYC, and following that Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles.” Shelly Taggar, Owner of The Makeup Show

The Makeup Show Orlando Highlights

Top Beauty Brands: The Makeup Show Orlando featured over 75 top pro-focused brands including: Diamond Sponsor MAKE UP FOR EVER, Platinum Sponsors Crown Brush and TEMPTU PRO, Silver Sponsor Kat Von D Beauty, Supporting Sponsors Cosmix School of Makeup Artistry, Pinnacle Cosmetics, Frends Beauty Supply, Glamcor and MustaeV. Other brands in attendance included Alcone Company, Mehron, Embryolisse USA, Smashbox Cosmetics, Kevyn Aucoin, Senna Cosmetics, among many others. In addition, there were several new brands this year including Limelight by Alcone, Blinc Inc., VAMP FX, Bioderma and MOO.

Networking! The Makeup Show Orlando was the perfect spot for makeup artists to network amongst some of the top artists in the industry. Artists including Brian Sutherby, Jenn Karsner, Roshar, Eugenia Weston, Reggie Wells and Jordan Liberty took the main stage to inspire and offer their most coveted tips and tricks.

Education! The Makeup Show’s own Director of Artistry Relations and Education James Vincent hosted a special panel entitled “Where I Am: Building a Beauty Business in Any Market”, where he moderated conversations on this important topic, covering how to put together successful business materials, master makeup application, and create a portfolio and online presence that represents you and appeals to various clients. James was joined by Melanie Mills and Michael DeVellis, who have both created their own place and redefined what success in makeup can mean.

The Makeup Show Town Hall: One of the reasons The Makeup Show stands out from other shows is its commitment to education. In addition to the immensely popular keynotes and special topic forums, The Makeup Show Orlando introduced The Makeup Show Town Hall this year. This keynote was specifically designed to bring together attendees, artists and experts for the purpose of engaging in conversations about the latest developments and hot topics in the industry.

Play Area: The Makeup Show introduced Play Area this year, where pros tested and compared products, allowing them to make a truly informed decision before adding new product to their kits.
