On the first Saturday of May Lviv traditionally celebrates its birthday. This time, Lviv residents and guests of the city are waiting for an exciting program that can not be missed – because the celebrations will last for three days.

5 May
Solemn events for the City Day in Lviv will begin on Friday, May 5. At 15:00 on the Market Square flashmob “Lviv – a city that inspires” will take place. And from 17:00 to 20:00 it will be possible to listen to the performances of brass bands on the central squares of the city.
At 21:00 everyone will be able to visit the open display of several retrospective films about Lviv in the open air on the Museum Square – near the Lviv Cinema Center.
6 May
The second day of the celebration of the City Day will be no less intense. Everything starts with a festive breakfast at the Museum Square from 11:00 to 13:00. Next – a festive concert in the park of Bogdan Khmelnitskyi (14:00 to 16:00), performance of the National Guard’s orchestra at the Rynok Square (from 19:00 to 20:00).
In parallel with this, citizens and guests of the city can visit the sports island near the monument of Taras Shevchenko (16:00-20:00) and listen to the festival of brass bands on the square in front of the monument to Stepan Bandera (16: 00-21: 00).
May 7
On the last day of the celebration, several locations can be visited:
– Territory of literature in the Market Square (14: 00-19: 00)
– Children’s holiday in the park of Bogdan Khmelnitskyi (15: 00-19: 00)
– A large concert for the City Day on the Market Square (16: 00-22: 00).
