Government of India demonetized High Denomination Bank Notes of Rs.500 and Rs.1000 from 9th November, 2016. Tourists are advised to use their debit cards/credit cards/e-money as it will take few days for new currency notes of denomination of Rs.500 and Rs.2000 to come in circulation.
