Valentine's Day Romance Around Mt. Rainier

Mt. Rainier, WA-Drive out winter's chill with a little volcanic romance this Valentine's Day.  Various lodging properties and dining establishments around Mt. Rainier are offering sweet specials on dinners and romantic getaways.  Bring skis or snowshoes and add adventure to romance, or simply pull up the covers and snuggle down at a cozy mountainside retreat.

Enumclaw Wine and Chocolate Festival
Celebrate the finer things in life this February 7 and 8.  The Enumclaw Wine and Chocolate Festival will feature 24 Washington wineries pouring over 80 unique wines to sip and savor.  Twenty chocolatiers will offer samples for pairing and purchase, while wine and specialty gift vendors, live music, and entertainment add to the fun.  Dinner and appetizers are available too.  Hours are Friday from 4 -10 p.m., Saturday from 2-10 p.m.  Must be 21 to participate.  Please bring ID.  More >>   

National Park Inn, Ashford
Romance starts in the kitchen at the National Park Inn February 14 and 15.  A special four course dinner begins with spiced soup or salad, followed by seared scallops or oysters on the half shell.  Course three offers a choice of King Salmon Roulade with scallop mousse, Filet Mignon with prawns, or a roasted vegetable risotto.  Complete dinner by sharing assorted truffles, chocolate dipped strawberries and Chantilly cream.  Snuggle together afterward by the fire in the common room, or choose to extend the evening in a cozy mountainside room.  Reservations are required.  For more information call 360-569-2770 or visit the National Park Inn website.

Kelly's Mercantile, Enumclaw  
Tantalize the tongue with a five course dinner and wine pairings at Kelly's Mercantile in Enumclaw.  Live music is also on the menu at this espresso, wine bar and restaurant.  Kelly's uses only fair trade, organic espresso and specializes in offering sustainable and unique wines. The Summit House, Crystal Mountain Resort
Hot Pot for two at 6,782!  The Summit House restaurant is Washington State's highest fine dining restaurant, sitting atop Crystal Mountain 6,782 feet above sea level.   It is perched just 12 miles (as the crow flies)from Mt Rainier, offering one of the best up close Mt. Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad, Elbe
All Aboard the Valentine's Express Train on Saturday, February 15!  Bundle up your special someone and celebrate Valentine's weekend with a nostalgic train ride through the forest and foothills of Mt.
