The pair travel the world as part of their jobs as exporters of Spanish cheese with the Atlantica company. As managers of the company, they have the flexibility to go to new cities and towns and visit the stores that carry their products - in this case the Island's own Quality Foods has picked up their products.
And they do the work while dressed as matadors.
Not the full, dazzling regalia seen in the bull rings of Spain, Portugal or Mexico. They wear the training outfits of matadors from southern Spain, often used as formal wear at special occasions in that part of the country. It's enough to catch the eye of passing customers at the Parksville QF - and it helped them seal a deal with QF's Ken Schely during the Tree of Life product show a year ago.
