Drone Video of Laos

Laos really surprised in many ways. While it has a lot of things in common with Thailand (culture, food, religious beliefs, and architecture), the country is a lot more mellow, humble and laid-back than most parts of Southeast Asia. Its laid-back riverside towns and temple-studded colonial cities easily transport you back in time, to a glorious era before tourism invaded the region.

But what truly surprised me most was the lush greenery and natural landscapes of Laos. From the air, the rivers of Laos resemble snakes slithering their way through the thick green jungles and the jade mountains look like hundred-year-old jade stones poking out from the sprawling valleys. Fishermen boats are like little legos dotting the green waters of the flowing river. Tall palm trees that fringe the rivers sway along to the wind, in a soothing, hypnotic rhythm.

We’ve compiled all our footage from Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang to produce this Drone video of Laos. Sadly, we crashed our drone right after filming the last clip in Luang Prabang. The camera was completely wrecked and replacing it would cost us almost as much as we’d spent on the drone. This might just be the last drone video we’ll be doing. Hope you like it!
