7 Life Sucking Habits That You Should Quit For A Positive Life

Everyone wishes a life of joys and happiness, but in a world where competition is the only way to get ahead, we’ve forgotten the essence of positivity in life.

Although life is difficult, one should not forget, as I wrote the words of Samwise Gamgee (from The Lord of the Rings) in the blog inspirational quotes for students, “It is only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer.”

Before talking about positivity, a man should watch out his own habits as the habits are the foundation of one’s fortune.

If you can’t cultivate good habits, you should quit those life Sucking Habits that impede the pleasure of life. Not only this will assist you in self-healing but also fills you with the sense of integrity with the world within.

Today, take a few hours and ponder upon yourself, on the habits that are preventing you from being infinite. In case, if you find this particular task difficult, read the below listed 7 life sucking habits and figure out what are the common habits that you can quit for a positive life.

1. The Long Lasting Desires

An unbelievable myth people have accepted is the circle of long-lasting desires. Desires upon desires become the major cause of suffering. Yes, that’s true, if you do not have desires and dreams you will seize yourself from working and never grow. But like everything has a limit, one should also limit the long-lasting desires, find contentment and remain peaceful from within.

Above all, remember the one of the famous law of attraction quotes, “Focus on being grateful for what you have already .. enjoy it!! Then release into the universe. The universe will manifest it.”

2. Being Busy is Not Being Productive

While writing this blog, I’ve so many works in my to-do-list. Most of them are just the fillers of the day. If I achieve those, it won’t help me much in long run. So every morning, I create a to-do-list and narrow it down to one goal. This helps me in being more productive than being busy.

Eliminating the useless goals from the list gives you a clear vision and most importantly, as you pursue your goal through the day, you feel worthy of living the day.

3. Never Ever Overthink

A common problem I’ve seen in most of us is that we spend so much of our time in thinking about the goals, rather than doing something about it. This leads us to a disastrous behavior of overthinking.

Taking immediate action is the only cure to the overthinking. You’ll be uncomfortable at the beginning when you start working on your goals, but as you remain consistent, you’ll go with the flow.

For instance, it was difficult for me to write down this blog in the beginning, but as I pushed myself and wrote the first hundred words, I came in the flow and the words streamed out of my mind as the river gushing forth the mountains. For more inspiration read Inspirational quotes about work.

4. Quit Watching The Drama

People are a kind of dramatist. They are expert in making mountain of a molehill. Be sensible and intelligent enough to walk away from these dramatists. They are nothing but the energy drainers. They are those who snatch your peace of mind without being aware to you.

5. Stop Crying Over Spill Milk

The things that were meant to happen in life have happened. You can’t change the past. So, why cry over spill milk? You can either let go of your depressing past (Read Buddha Quotes on letting go) and the mistakes you did or you could learn from them and strengthen your life. Once you accept it’s alright to do mistakes and it’s a part of life, you open all the doors of life and let the positivity drive in.

6. Stop Impressing

As we get older, life teaches us abundant lessons and one of the best lessons we learn is that we don’t have everyone like us nor it is necessary for us to influence everyone we meet. Apart from that, no matter how good you are to others, there will always be someone who remains disappointed. So, stop impressing and invest your time in creating something worth of living.

7. Quit Doubting

I study literature, not because I love reading and writing but because literature is the study which talk about history as well as reflect the life lessons and wisdom of the writers that has walked through the planet.

No person can explain this better than the father of Modern English, William Shakespeare, “Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt.”

When in doubt, think not of the results and step forward anyway. As you walk down the journey, everything will make a perfect sense.

The life is not tough as it seems to be. We make it more complicated by allowing the negativity in life. And if you’ve any of the negative habits listed above, you can take the best decision of your life today and work on quitting them for the good.
