The powerboats are kept away from the Dal Lake due to the massive growth of waterweeds.

In the Himalayas, the Deodar ranges at an elevation from 3500 to 12000 feet. But in Punjab, Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh the Deodars are very common. Deodars can live for thousands of years and can grow up to 250 feet. The woods of the tree find its application in building material and are used in the construction of religious temples. Located 5 km from Cherrapunji, the Nohkalikhai waterfalls are the fourth largest waterfall in the world. It falls from a height of 1100 feet. You can view the falls by driving through the elevated tableland. The monsoon season is the most favorable time to visit Nohkalikai. With the help of the stairs present, the tourists can move down and experience the other viewing points of the fall. You can also do other interesting activities such as camping, trekking, bird watching, and photography. There lies a sad, tragic story behind the name of   Nohkalikhai falls. This hill station near Mumbai is the smallest hill station in India. Located in the Western Ghats, it consists of 38 viewpoints. Matheran has semi evergreen forests. The major attractions of Matheran are the toy trains, the horses, the monkeys and the surrounding nature. Dudhsagar means “sea of milk.” This cascade of white water is believed to be created due to an illusion that the waterfall as it pours downwards rapidly into the waters of the lake. It has a height of about 1017 feet and a width of 100 feet. You can go by road or chose the rails. You also do trekking and reach the base by simply taking a walk. The best time to visit this place is during the monsoon season.

This island holds the first position and is one of the world’s largest fresh water mid-river deltaic Island. The Island is protected and governed by a non-government organization. The uniqueness and diversity in natural heritage have made the Majuli Island as World Heritage Site as declared by the UNESCO.
