Spice Alley has a unique Asian theme setting that the kids would enjoy with high chairs and low tables to choose from. Pram access is easy with a wide range of Asian cuisine on offer. Though you may want to avoid the weekend nights as it gets quite crowded.

The Grounds of Alexandria (7A, 2 Huntley St, Alexandria)

Slightly outside of the Sydney CBD, The Grounds of Alexandria has fresh seasonal dishes perfect for brunch! The kids will love the Secret Garden play space, farm animals, and delicious baked goods. Book in advance to avoid long queues.

West Juliett, Marrickville (30 Llewellyn St, Marrickville)

Stop off for some breakfast at West Juliett, a hip, child-friendly cafe with outdoor seating and a range of healthy treats. Just across from Enmore Park, take the kids to the play area after you’ve eaten, or enjoy swimming at Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre.

Treat the kids and yourself to a delightful ice cream. Located near Events cinemas on George Street, Aqua S’s unique soft serve dessert has much to offer. The kids would simply enjoy this day out. It is a great way to get the kids outdoors. Not only is the walk pleasant with stunning views of the coast, there are playgrounds and plenty of beaches along the way to stopover. The path is also pram friendly. Just keep an eye on the kids when they are at the shorelines as the waves can be quite strong.

PLAYTIME (Market City Shopping Centre, Haymarket)

Finish off the day with some entertaining arcade games. Playtime is the largest arcade in the Sydney CBD with over 125 arcade games. There is also laser tag and bumper cars in the venue. There also an array of great prizes on display.

• The Location: This central location is great when exploring the nearby attractions. There are plenty of shops, eateries and more nearby.
• The Facilities: Free Wifi, Restaurant & bar, Gym and more. Currently, there is a pool being built.
• The Service: 4.5 Stars, the hotel staff were friendly and very much helpful. They were able to provide great information about nearby restaurants. There is a splendid Spanish restaurant – Encasa, just 5 minutes from the hotel.
• The Price: Single rooms start from $180, with the family room rates around $260. Considered quite an affordable hotel accommodation for its type and location.
• The Dining: Sphere restaurant is located on site near the lobby and offers breakfast and dinner. The Cidery Bar & Kitchen is situated next to the Sphere restaurant and has a pub atmosphere. Lunch and dinner are available here.

The CONS:

• This hotel gets quite busy during the day with lots of tour groups checking in and out. During these peak times, it would be quite difficult to get a hold of the concierge. Though reception is well handled.
• For any additional bedding, the price is an additional $50.
