Rizal Day Photos, A Tribute to our National Hero…

As the countdown begins to the mysterious, upcoming year of 2012, Today, we celebrate another regular holiday before this year ends.

In commemorating the life and works of our National hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal, Rizal Day is considered as one of the Philippine National Holiday that is celebrated every 30th day of December, his execution day at Bagumbayan (now known as Rizal Park) in 1896.

So without further adieu,  in commemorating the life and works of Rizal, here’s my little tribute (a different set of photos rather than what we usually see like  his monument or other statues)  in recognition of our National Hero. A rare, 1970’s two peso bill that doesn’t exists nowadays. Check this out!

As an authentication and a proof that this two peso bill isn’t fake, here’s the hologram that we usually see when placed on direct light.

So the question is, where is Rizal now on our local peso bill? Here, in one peso coin, a.k.a “Piso“. But whatever bill he maybe placed, Dr. Jose Rizal will forever be remembered and recognized as our National Hero.
