Entertaining this holiday season? It’s time to Jingle and Mingle! Whether you are having a few of your nearest and dearest over for a quick toast, or the entire office for a full on celebration, sprucing up the Bar Cart can make for a chic fete.

There are so many reasons to love a bar Cart. For one, they come in all shapes, sizes and finishes to highlight the host’s personality and style. The majority of the time, the bar cart should be seen as a stationary furniture piece. It should compliment the room, as a pretty console or side table would be used. Try using it in the dining, living or media room to showcase gorgeous glassware of your choice. Or, if you love pretty packaging, buy spirits locally for unusual labels that will elevate the look.

On the flip side – another great perk is a bar cart’s mobility. We love rolling the cart about during the holiday season! After all, in our cocktail culture, it is the life of the party. Try setting up a champagne bar in the entry way that allows for guests to serve themselves as soon as they arrive. Another fun idea – a coffee or hot chocolate bar on the porch for chilly christmas party nights by the fire.

Add a little greenery! When styling the bar cart, think of it as an extension of your tabletop decor (or kitchen island display). During December, evergreen is a nice choice to tuck into a small nook. Also try small bud vases of mint or rosemary, which can also serve as cocktail adornment.

Tis the season for desserts! The bar cart can also be a beautiful sweets station. Simply set it up as a scrumptious display for guests to nibble the entire evening, or bring it in at the end of the meal. Using a pretty table runner on the cart will add texture, while cake or cupcake stands will bring unexpected height. Don’t forget over-the-top holiday sheen with metallic plates and linens, and several dessert options. Remember, sometimes – more is more!
