Your Top 5 Tips for Attending a Casting Call!

For those of you who may not know, an open Casting Call is a meet and greet with the casting directors.

The meeting may only take 10-15 minutes and may be one on one, or as part of a group. Since you have very little time to "REALLY WOW" the directors here are The Top 5 Tips for Attending a Casting Call...

Casting Call Tip 1
Bring a picture if you have one: It does not need to be a professional shot, just a snapshot will work just fine!

Casting Call Tip 2
Wear something that makes you feel great, preferably black. In other words you don't have to dress up if you are not comfortable being dressed up; look your best, but most importantly, wear something that makes you feel good and something that is comfortable and compatible with your personality.

Casting Call Tip 3
Be patient. A lot of people may show up and so you may have to wait in line, however you will have your chance with a casting director. Use the time to get familiar with some of the people around you. Being social beforehand helps bring out your personality.

Casting Call Tip 4
Be open. If you are too embarrassed or shy to open up to the casting director, chances are you won't be able to do it on camera.

Casting Call Tip 5
Be Yourself. Don't be afraid of offending and don't try to impress. Remember casting directors are looking for real people. They want to know who you are. Bottom line is they are looking for interesting personalities, dynamic people, with a strong sense of confidence.
