CLARE SANDS

Described by RTÉ Lyric FM as an ‘exceptional talent’ and HOTPRESS as ‘passionate and alluring’, Clare Sands is a young multi-instrumentalist, composer, and songwriter hailing from the vibrant Musical city of Cork. She has a unique ability to blend folk, jazz, blues, and Irish music- a fantastic feisty fusion- while her alluring voices ebbs and flows throughout her eclectic music.

Following the release of her debut album ‘Join Me At The Table’ in late 2016, ‘Really beautiful sounds’- RTÉ Radio 1, Sands has been touring Ireland & Europe, playing sell out shows and captivating audiences at renowned festivals such as Electric Picnic, both the Cork Folk and Jazz Festivals, Doolin Roots Fest and 7 Hill Blues Festival . Sands has recently become the Irish representative for legendary company Roland/Boss, due to her diverse musical interests and performances around the world both as a solo artist and session musician, most recently in the National Concert Hall (Jack L). She is an exciting musical force- not to be missed.

“The songs, the voice, the guitar playing, all happening at a very high level. Clare wears her rebel heart on her sleeve as well as her tongue. The future is very bright. She’s a star to me already”

“Sands has veered into jazz and blues and shows a heavy appreciation for Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan in her songwriting and approach to vocal performance. Her style is free and natural as she blazes her own path. She has no time for drama’”
