Hmm..when your fiancé says, "you are becoming a better cook with time..this dish smashes all the previous  dishes you have ever made", then such a compliment not only puts a smile on your face but its a much better feeling than receiving any award for it. Like any lazy Wednesday afternoon, the first question that pops into my head every noon at 12 is this, "What shall I make for lunch?". This question is harder to answer than actually preparing a dish. When Fi gave a feeble answer (unimpressed and hopeless), "make your Goan curry..Cafreal", I had to start thinking. I am so glad I just went ahead with this recipe rather than the Goan curry I have made so many times.
And with the genuine compliments I have received, It was all worth it :)
