Limited Edition Pokemon Movie Collection (Blu-ray)

It's Pokemon's 20th anniversary and we are celebrating it by enjoying some of the Pokemon fun! We are playing Pokemon Go, Nintendo 3DS Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon, and we've also watched the first 3 of the Pokemon movies from the Limited Edition Pokemon Movie Collection, sent to us to review.

The kids have completely fallen in love with Pokemon after watching the movies, and wanted their very own Pokemon more than before, because the animations has added a lot more personality to these adorable creatures! If your child hasn't seen the Pokemon animation yet, the Pokemon Movie Collection is definitely worth getting for them!

The Limited Edition Pokemon Movie Collection (RRP £29.99, PG rating, Blu-ray) comes in a tin box, containing the first 3 Pokemon Movies - Pokemon The First Movie, Pokemon the Movie 2000 and Pokemon 3 The Movie. The total running time is approximately 218 minutes and are in English.

Pokemon: The First Movie can be quite upsetting for little ones (me and both kids ended up in tears) so definitely watch this with your child.

The story is about Pokemon Mewtwo who was created using the DNA of one of the rarest Pokemon, Mew. Mewtwo was angry that human created him to be used by them, so he made it his purpose to prove his superiority, and that all DNA engineered Pokemons are stronger than the originals. By sacrificing himself, young Pokemon Trainer Ash proved to Mewtwo that human and Pokemon can be friends.

Although it was really really sad, it's our favourite Pokemon movie out of the 3.

Pokemon the Movie 2000 tells the story about a Pokemon collector disturbing the balance of nature by capturing the legendary Pokemon Moltres. His aim is to capture the other 2 legendary Pokemon Zapdos and Articuno as well to lure the Guardian of the Sea - Lugia out, which would be his priced posession.

It is down to Ash and the help from his friends and Lugia to save the world from destruction.

The graphics has improved a lot since the first movie, with a mix of 3D and 2D animation. We watched in awe how the legendary Pokemon causes havoc in the show, which was bad, but also very impressive!

In the 3rd movie, we get to see what the mysterious Pokemon Unown can do when they combined their power together! We also get to see the legendary Entei, who is in my opinion an amazing guardian.

Again the graphics has improved further and we enjoyed seeing the 3D animation mixed into the classic Pokemon drawings too.

We have thoroughly enjoyed all 3 movies, and are thirsty for more! I wonder whether I should try to find all the TV episodes as well (as they might connect the movies), or just collect the movies alone, either way, we'll be watching more of Pokemon for sure!

If you know a Pokemon Fan who hasn't seen the animations yet, you might want to introduce them to the shows too, it really adds a lot more characteristics to the Pokemon they are collecting in the games!
