Cooking with Your Grandchildren

My grandchildren love to be active participants in my kitchen. They have mastered many tasks and in this video they will share their skills on how to make pancakes.

The recipe is as follows:

Uncle Siggy’s Pancakes

2 cups sifted all purpose flour
½ cup sugar
4 ½ teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
2 cups milk
¼ cup (1/2 stick) butter

Sift Dry Ingredients into large bowl. Melt butter in microwave in medium bowl. Beat eggs into butter
and add milk. Gradually stir liquid into dry ingredients until blended. A few small lumps are ok.

Using a large spoon (like an ice cream spoon), place spoonfuls on griddle heated to 350°. When bubbles
form on top, turn pancake and continue cooking until browned.

Serve with syrup, butter or berries as desired.
