Druken Chicken Stew

    Cook Time9 hrs
    Ingredients
    • 1each chickencut into pieces
    • 3each baconslices
    • 3each white onionsthicly sliced
    • 3each carrotsthickly sliced
    • 1/4cup parsleychopped
    • 1`each thyme sprig
    • 12each peppercorns
    • 1/2clove garlicecrushed
    • 1 1/4cups white wine
    Instructions
    1. Soak the chicken in salted water for 1 hour. Drain well.
    2. Cut bacon into large pieces and combine with all other ingredients in slow cooker. Cook on low for 8 hours or overnight. Remove thyme sprig and serve on a bed of cooked rice, garnished with extra parsley.
    Recipe Notes

    Note: Rabbit is also delicious prepared in this way.
