Bread Kofta Curry

Hi friend, today I’m going to share with you the dish ‘Bread Kofta Curry’. The curry is mild rich and delicious. You can eat as a snack and it can be made a few hours ahead and stored in the fridge. You can just whip up the gravy later and deep the koftas in! Enjoy this Bread Kofta Curry with Roti or Naan.

INGREDIENTS
  • 4 slices of Bread (remove the brown edges)
  • 1 boiled potatoes
  • 1 chopped Onion
  • 2 big size chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 Capsicum cut in
  • 1 big size Onion paste
  • 3 to 4 green Chilies chopped
  • 2 tsp roasted Peanut (crushed)
  • 1 tsp roasted Jira powder
  • 1 tsp Chat masala powder
  • 2 tsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Corn flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar to taste
  • Refine Oil

TIME REQUIRED : Less than 40 minutes

PROCEDURE

STEP 1

Heat some oil in a pan, add jira. When jira start to splatter adds Onion and Green chili, now sauté for few second till onion are soft and pink.

STEP 2

Transfer the fry onion in a plate or bowl and let it to cool.

STEP 3

Now take water in the wide bowl and dip the each bread slice into it and then squeezed completely of the water.

STEP 4

Take the breads in a bowl and then add fry onion, potato, peanut, jira powder, Chat Masala Powder, coconut, salt and sugar one by one and then mashed them very well.

STEP 5

Add corn flour in the mixture and divide the mixture into 5 to 6 balls and give them a shape as per your choice.

STEP 6

Heat oil in a pan, and fry them until both side are golden. Drain and keep aside.

STEP 7

You can add some oil in the same pan. Now, add Onion paste, Garlic paste and some salt and stir well.

STEP 8

Add capsicum and sauté. Then add tomatoes and stir until they are soft. Now, add red chili powder and sugar and sauté for few minutes.

STEP 9

Now, sauté till oil comes from sides of the pan, then add salt, soy sauce, vinegar and fried koftas and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes. Finally ‘Bread Kofta Curry’ is ready to serve.
