It’s a healthy festive snack that is very tasty and addictive.Making a perfect mel maavu (outer covering) is very important. The consistency should be perfect so that we get a nice kozhukattai without any cracks. We usually soak rice, dry it and prepare or buy processed rice flour for making this kozhukattai. But this particular mel maavu for kozhukattai is very easy to do and it turns out perfect every time.Only thing we have to be careful is when mixing the ground rice in boiling water. It may form lumps,so constant stirring is necessary.
