Why free, why now?

The Interior is a wonderous place and it would not be possible for me to publish and sell my books without it. It does however play by certain rules and if you want to be successful, you have to play the game.

Back in the 90's, the cyber punks had a saying -- Information Wants ro Be Free. Indeed many of the great fortunes of cyberspace, such as Facebook and Google, are basically free services that billions of people use every day.

Oh, they make money alright. Tons of money. Advertizers pay to market on their sites and services like Amazon and Ebay, free to use, sell products.

When people come to a website, they want content -- free content. If you're a new and largely unknown author, it's very difficult to convince people to buy your books.

Kindle books at 99 cents each don't cut it. That's why my ebooks are now available full-text, free in PDF format -- something almost every one can use on their computers or tablets with Adobe Reader.

If you like my books you can support me by buying a paperback from Lulu -- I took them off Amazon because that site wants me to charge you twice as much as they cost. All of that money would have gone to Amazon.

I make very little on my paperbacks. They are there strictly for the enjoyment of my readers who prefer a real paper book.

There's something timeless about a book!
