Whilst the world works to forget what happened to the underground prison island of Sarandin Isle, it's demonic host remains. Whilst tales are set in motion beyond its reach, the inhabitants of the depths do not stand idle. Draining him down into little more than a sissy on his knees, the succubus before him will repurpose that masculine energy and show him just how deep it can go, with a little determination.
The Darkfallen stories by Leona D. Reish are an offshoot of her Daemonique series, which currently stands at 6 books. Each of the Darkfallen books can be read as a standalone story, without knowing anything else about the world, but (as you will see) it helps to have read the first before slipping into the last.This is one such man's story. Taking Jacob is the first Darkfallen tale, and Jacob's descent into supernatural submission is well-played, making the macho rebel slowly give into the sexual wiles of his succubus mistress. He fights it, mentally, but cannot deny the ways in which his body betrays him. It is interesting that Reish allows him to taste a bit of his old self before breaking him completely, and it is that mental/emotional aspect that makes this work so well.
As sex-fueled demons go, Kynthia is quite a treat for the eyes. She is sinister and seductive, but possessed of an otherworldly futanari beauty that makes her impossible to resist. The level of detail here is top-notch, especially in the way she sucks the masculinity out of Jacob, leaving them both to transform before our eyes. It is a story that is both dark and erotic, depraved and explicit, but which never loses sight of the larger mythology.
Expanding Elena, the second of the Darkfallen tales, clearly takes place immediately upon the heels of the first, but (as I mentioned previously) these are self-contained stories that can be read in any order.
What I loved so much about this story is the way Reish takes the kind of slender woman we see celebrated by the modeling industry, and so casually dismisses her harsh lines and sharp angles. Kynthia sees potential in her would-be victim, but her attraction to Elena only begins once expansion has taken place, giving Elena the glorious bounty of an ample bosom, and the delicious curves of real hips and a plump rump. It is not just a matter of visuals, either - Elena feels the change in her body, and recognizes how much more sensual (and comfortable) it makes her.
A bit of a departure from the other stories, Demonic Slime has a different sort of opening to it, a wonderful bit of storytelling that really serves to introduce (or reintroduce) the world, and establish the subterranean prison setting. In addition, much of this story has little to do with Kynthia, although she does eventually arrive to help thrust the encounter to a gloriously messy conclusion.
This time around we have a young woman by the name of Victoria who finds herself at the mercy of a slimy, gelatinous, amorous blob. The erotic aspects here are definitely unusual, but Reish is very convincing in writing of the pleasures of being surrounded, consumed, and penetrated in every opening. Victoria's slime is the perfect lover, filling her completely, both strangling and overwhelming her senses, and pushing her boundaries to their natural limits. There is a tendril/tentacle aspect to the slime as well, adding further eroticism, and the semi-intelligent nature of its uninhibited sexuality is really quite delightful.
Having made her rounds of the demonic prison that lays beneath Sarandin Isle, Kynthia makes a long-awaited return to her initial victim in Making Jacob. As this point in his story, Jacob is a cum-drunk, bimbofied, thoroughly emasculated young man. He looks rather effeminate, but his flat chest and dangling genitals give lie to the illusion, even as his mind fights to deny the lusty desires subliminally implanted by his captor.
There is much more of a power-play aspect to this story, with Kynthia establishing something of a submissive hierarchy between effeminate Jacob and expanded Elena. In allowing them to play, she gets the opportunity to twists the fates of a pair of humans, robbing them of their identities, and building new ones in their place. That added conflict, along with the sinister consequences of disobedience, really serve to round out what is already one of my fave futa-on-male storylines in fiction.
With four stories under her skirt, we can only hope that Leona D. Reish has the opportunity to return to the Darkfallen world soon. In the meantime, it looks like the Daemonique: Darkfall omnibus is next on my must-read list.
